How to Setup Audio Conferencing

 "Conferences" section of the Phonebooth platform is where the Administrator(s) can manage audio conference bridges. Phonebooth OnDemand includes two conference bridges, and each bridge can hold up to 8 callers, which includes both participants and moderator. Conference calling is only available for for paid Phonebooth OnDemand service.

 

Extension: This is ALWAYS 998 and cannot be changed. 

Phone Number: The phone number area is where you can assign a direct phone number for all of the bridges. They will share the same number if one is assigned. It is not a requirement that a bridge has a dedicated phone number.

Participant Passcode: This four-digit code is used for the participants to enter the call. To edit a conference bridge, click on the "Description." (The default is 1234.)

Modorator Passcode: This four-digit code is used for the moderator to enter the call. To edit a conference bridge, click on the "Description." (The default is 1234.)

To reach the Conference Center, callers can either enter through the Auto-Attendant (see the Auto-Attendant Section to learn more) or by a direct phone number, which is assigned to the Conference Bridge or by dialing extension 998). Once in the Conference Center, the caller will be prompted to enter the Conference Number (either 1000 or 2000) and then prompted to enter their Passcode.

NOTE: Participants will hear music until the moderator enters the call. The conference call will end once everyone leaves the conference.
